Who Can Apply

EPD+ is available for products with an existing, valid EPD published under a recognised programme.

Manufacturers

Producers of construction products or materials who operate at least one identifiable manufacturing site.

Valid EPD Holders

The product must be covered by a valid EPD prepared in accordance with applicable PCR and programme rules.

Site Access

The manufacturer must allow on-site verification of selected primary data relevant to the EPD.

How long does the process take?
Typically 2-3 weeks from document submission. The on-site verification component (if applicable) usually takes 1 day and is often combined with other audits.
Do I need to change my LCA consultant?
No. EPD+ works with any valid EPD produced by any consultant or tool. We verify the underlying data sources; we do not recalculate the LCA model itself unless errors are found.
Can I verify an EPD from another operator?
Yes. EPD+ is an "overlay" mark. We can verify the underlying primary data of EPDs issued by any recognized programme operator (e.g., ITB, IBU, EPD International), provided we have access to the background report.
Is the audit confidential?
Yes, absolutely. All sensitive data (recipes, energy prices, supplier lists) is reviewed under strict NDA and is never published. Only the final verification statement is made public in the registry.
